Mariah Janae is an influential Music Gospel Artist with a growing number of followers. Her incredible career began back in 2019, with the release of her first single "Mama". Her music speaks to both small and great. Since then, she has been working on the verge of becoming the next big thing. 

As for the most important part of her life, i.e. singing, was passed down to her and all her siblings from their mother. The way she worked hard for each of them, perhaps one lifetime may not suffice to pay her back. She would individually teach each of her children how to sing rather than teaching them collectively or in a choir. Her mother would sing a tune and they would have to repeat after her. That woman always made sure that her children had everything they needed, not what they wanted with the extreme help of her father. If not for divine love from her parents and God, Mariah may have been lost for all her life.

From oldest to youngest, ​you can say that having a passion for music runs in her family.Her older brother Michael taught her how to play the guitar & her brother Julius taught her how to play the drums when she was only eight years old. Both are difficult instruments to perfect, yet by the grace of God and the gifts he had bestowed upon this family, she mastered them in little time. After learning the two instruments, she put her mind into learning the piano, watching one youtube tutorial after another. Mariah also attended Oak Park High school where she learned to play the saxophone, in her school band.

Mariah's mother wasn’t a materialistic woman, they had regular TV and not cable which she and her older brother Quentin would enjoy for hours. Her mother would buy their clothes from the thrift store where she and her brother would go and play with all the used toys. God taught them it takes little to be happy, for all the wealth in the world can’t bring you happiness if not for the will of the Lord Almighty. I can tell that woman is Mariah’s inspiration, a real superwoman. She made her realize she possesses much more potential in herself than she actually realized. With her limited resources, perhaps someone else in her place may have given up but she didn’t. She was God’s warrior and one of the best teachers Mariah has ever had.

Her father is a working man. He never required much attention but was always there for Marriah and her siblings. He is like the wind under their wings and has been a great source of inspiration and support throughout their life. Mariah carries both traits from both her mother & father, but some say she favors her father more. Her father comes off as very humble & observant to the things around him. Very good with his hands, Mariah is mechanically inclined, able to fix most anything she puts her mind to. From changing a tire to hammering a nail she gets all her skills from her dad.

Later on in life, around the age of 14, her pastor passed away and Mariah faded away from the church for a while. It was until her mother found another church quite close to where they lived. She shortly began attending "Ferndale Assembly Of God" under the ministry of Pastor Michael Haley, Pastor Rich Chalker, & their youth leader, Pastor David Miller, welcoming her with a warm embrace. In which they always made room for her gifts. At the age of 18, she was struggling to discover herself, as if she was struggling for her freedom while being free at the same time. Those were confusing times and she had no idea where she stood or where she was headed. She knew nothing but God, so how could she have left him? As it says in the scripture:

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6.

Because she was brought up in church all her life, she had a clear idea of where to turn to if she was ever lost. She knew there was but one place where she would always get help. In all of that confusion, it all led her to make the mistake of ‘almost’ getting married at the raw age of 22. She was mentally prepared for it, but God had other plans. She said that It felt rushed and even came down to her not even liking the guy anymore. With all the distractions at hand, she could never really focus on herself.

 Mariah wanted things to change and started to talk to God more and more and focused more on listening to his voice. It was at that point that she started to write music, which was something totally besides what she was used to writing. She's always been a writer, writing was her thing but writing music was something she always wanted to do. It was a moment of enlightenment that made her realize that she had to actually go through something in order to be able to actually write a song.

Mariah's music speaks for her, it speaks through her. Her mother became her inspiration for writing music, her purpose. The pain and struggle she went through because of her, Mariah wanted to apologize to her God & her mother for falling as deep as she did. In other words, Mariah was lead & inspired to write her first single ‘Mama’, which she dedicated to all the individuals who wants to make peace with their mother.​

I believe Mariah wants to inspire young women around the world who are lost, looking for an answer they can’t find, for they are looking in the wrong places. Not knowing where to turn to in these troubling times. Mariah will help them seek the answer, turn from their wicked way, and to start living for GOD. For he has all the answers, and we must all turn to him.Mariah has realized a purpose for herself in life. To create light through her music for those who have been lost in the darkness for too long. She was there once, & it is her divine mission to shine her light.
